My Peekapoo Poops in PetCo...

Riley is in hiding today.

Why, you ask?

Well, because he....

Yes, Riley decided to pop a squat right there in the middle of the aisle of Kong toys, becoming the newest member of the Dogs-Who-Poop-in-Petco Club.  Our 8-year-old pup definitely knows better, and we had taken him for a long walk before bringing him into the store...we think it was probably a mixture of nerves and excitement since we rarely bring him on car rides with us.

We had to do the Walk of Shame over to the little clean-up station to mop up the mess.  Riley stood there, watching and wagging his tail - no shame!

He flashed us these "I'm sorry" eyes after he did it...but he still went home without a new Kong.  Petco poopers never prosper!  (We did grab a bag of Nature's Recipe treats, though!)

What about you guys?  Where's the most embarrassing place your pooch has ever done their business??

  1. Oh no!... Oh! I cannot imagine. I mean when you gotta go you gotta go!

My dogs are actually quite discrete with their pooping habits but once Chowski did decide to go whilst we were waiting for the green man to come on at a road crossing. He done his 'bidness' in front of a whole queue of cars.

Was quite embarrassing waiting for him to finish so I could pick it up. Those poor people in the queue had nothing better to look at I guess...

    1. HA! Sometimes Riley decides to just stop and poop in the middle of the street, which is always rather uncomfortable - especially when there are other people outside! (We live in a very small town, so no queues of cars here for us to worry about.) Here's hoping your dogs never poop inside a store ;)

  2. A Petco Pooper. My feeling is I'd rather clean that up than number 1. At least there are bags.

    1. Good point! I should be grateful it wasn't a double whammy of #1 AND #2 ;)

  3. Hi Y'all!

Don't feel bad. Sometimes bad stuff happens.

I agree with Susan, especially for a boy dog. Why we could really do some squirt damage to those toys and mark 'em all so you'd have to buy 'em all for us! Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea!

    1. That is a pretty clever way of getting your mom to buy you toys, Hawk! :D

  4. Oh man, that is bad! Never had an accident in a store, none of my sisters either. Usually for us the embarrassing place is in someones yard when they are out watching. We always have bags to pick it up, but Mom finds it embarrassing. We dogs kind of find it funny.

    1. You and Riley have that in common, Emma - he seems to always wait until there's someone outside so he can poop in front of them. He must enjoy an audience...?

  7. Riley it's ok - I've seen plenty of other pooches poop in the pet store. When you gotta go you gotta go! :)

  8. Poor Riley my guess is another dog had already pooped or peed there and the smell just couldn't be resisted. I, myself, have never done anything remotely that embarrassing! Love Dolly

    1. Of course not, Dolly, you're a little lady who would never poop in public! Riley is definitely without shame so he has no issue doing such things :)

  9. Oh how funny/embarrassing. Rita used to be super shy about pooping - she'd always find a bush to hide in for the longest time, but now she's okay about doing it on a walk - without a bush in site - but she's not done it anywhere toooo embarrassing. Yet! :)

  10. Aww, poor Riley, I'm sure the nerves overcame...or maybe he just wanted to leave a surprise for the PetCo folks.

  12. Haha! Sorry, I had to laugh. His little face looking up at you looks like he is saying, "What?" The most embarrassing place my dog has eliminated has to be in the show ring. Ugh, awful.

    1. Haha, that is his usual face - he always pretends to be so innocent :) Oh man, in the show ring?! That's one way to impress the judges ;)
